I had the privilege of leading the design and schematic design for the Rice Research and Extension Center (RREC) project. The RREC is dedicated to advancing sustainable rice production practices for Arkansas farmers through field-oriented, problem-solving research. The center focuses on rice breeding and cultivar development, using DNA marker-assisted analysis to enhance traits such as rice blast resistance, cooking quality, plant height, and herbicide tolerance. Additionally, the RREC conducts significant research on soybeans, corn, grain sorghum, and wheat.
